JOURNEY, UFO AND TYKETTO CONFIRMED FOR SWEDEN ROCK 2009!

Journey, UFO, Tyketto and Tank confirmed! Time to proudly present another 4 bands confirmed for Sweden Rock Festival 2009.

JOURNEY, The arguably most legendary AOR-band of them all got an overwhelming response in 2006, when they returned to Sweden for the first time in almost two decades - at SRF, if you didn't know. Since then a lot has happened with the band. They have changed singers twice, and released their 13th studio album "Revelation" in 2008. The album got a phenomenal reception, and the same goes for new singer Arnel Pineda from the Philippines, whose similarity to classic Journey vocalist Steve Perry has already made him a new audience favorite. So it is a decidedly revitalized Journey that returns to SRF after three years - whether you were there the last time or not, you have equally good reason not to miss them this time around!

Journey Band Manila Concert at Mall of Asia

Finally Journey played my best pick song of the Revelation Cd!
"Turn Down The World Tonight"! Also Played is "What I needed, Where Did I Loose Your Love" off the new album which were not played live in their US or European shows. I've been sorting through all the uploads on youtube.com It was great to hear those other greatest hits played with a different twist! Neal is an architech with the guitar! Check them out now as there is a lot of new videos!

Also noted on the video threads that the concert might be released on DVD so will surely be looking forward to that. Tell me Journey 'ans what you think of the show and and the songs that was played that was not been played before.

Journey members Neal Schon, Ross Valorie, Jonathan Cain, Dean Castronovo, and their crew arrived in Manila, Philippines on March 1, 2009 and was greeted by native frontman Arnel Pineda!

Lead guitarist Neal Schon, who discovered Pineda via video-sharing Web site YouTube, said he is “very excited” about their upcoming concert, which is set to be held on March 14.

Pineda said his band mates were surprised that he was at the airport to personally welcome them.

“They never thought na pupunta ako dito to greet them. Na-sorpresa sila,” he said.

Pineda said he and his band mates are scheduled to practice in the Philippines before flying to Japan where their Asian tour will kick off.

Journey begins their second leg of the "Revelation" tour beginning in Asia and Southeastern Asia. (Starting with Japan, the Philippines, China, and with a few dates in Hawaii).
